Logica presents a new catalogue, “Accessories”
Logica, part of the Italian Group Interna, specialised in the production of high-quality, turnkey furnishing solutions for offices, has now increased their range of catalogue items with a wide selection of accessories designed specifically to meet the real requirements of the office sector in general, and the so-called Back of the House for the hospitality sector in particular. With this new proposal, Logica aims predominantly at the larger management groups for hospitality, fashion and tourism organisations, whose offices have specific functional requirements.

Diego Travan at the “CONTRACT. PER SAPERE” conference
Invited by the ADI Nordest (Italian Association of Industrial Design), Diego Travan spoke at the “Contract. Per Sapere” conference held in Venice on the 14th of May. The main issue was the situation and future of the Italian contract sector in the globalized world. Mr Travan shared his thoughts on the changes brought by the internationalization and globalization of the markets. The other speaker were Gabriella Lojacono, professor at the Bocconi University, Marco Piva, architect involved in the contract sector and Fabio Bortolini of the Veneto Bank. The moderator was Philippe Daverio.

Interna furnishes the Mandarin Oriental in Paris
The prestigious hotel located in Rue Saint Honorè, in the historic downtown of Paris, has 99 standards rooms, 41 suites, two of which presidential ones and six duplex. Interna supplied the millwork implementing a highly complex job in terms of manufacturing and planning, due to the fact that the rooms have different sizes and different subdivision of spaces; therefore all the items produced and installed by Interna are unique items. The furnishings have been designed by the SM studio, Paris; the customer is the French building company Laine Delau, part of the Vinci group, one of the most renowned building companies worldwide.

Interna furnishes the Marinagri Hotel, Policoro
Grand opening for the hotel Marinagri in Policoro, located on the coast of Basilicata. The interior design for the whole hotel as been created by Interna that custom made on design all the furnishings for the resort. The leitmotiv of the hotel is the linearity of the furniture, with simple but elegant lines that found expression in a variety of nuances of beige and brown in the rooms, and more warm colours such as red and orange in the public areas.

Il leitmotiv dell’albergo è la linearità degli arredi, con linee semplici ma eleganti che vengono declinate nei colori beige e marrone in varie sfumature nelle camere, mentre si accendono di colori caldi quali l’arancio ed il rosso negli imbottiti delle aree comuni.

The first Ducati café designed by Interna is located within the Ducati headquarters at Borgo Panigale (Bologna) and has been named “Ducati Caffè Factory”. Grand opening for the Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm
Interna furnished in less than three months 411 rooms, three suites and the public areas of the Waterfront Hotel, elegant hotel in the heart of Stockholm. The structure has been designed by the White studio and the contemporary and elegant pieces of furniture have been designed by the RPW studio of London. The designer included in the project many items selected from Interna’s collections created for the hospitality world.

Grand opening for the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris
The prominent Asiatic hotel chain Shangri-La Hotels arrives in Europe with the opening, in the Ville Lumière, of the hotel Shangri-La in avenue De Jena, in the elegant 16° arrondissement, a few steps away from the Trocadero. The luxurious hotel, located in the historical building that in 1896 became the residence of the Prince Roland Bonaparte, nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte, has 78 luxurious rooms, 49 standards and 29 suites, all furnished by Interna with unique pieces in Louis XVI style, created with a meticulous work of the team Interna on design by the Parisian studio Pierre Yves Rochon.

Interna for the Hilton and Crowne Plaza Bucharest
Interna refurbished two of the most elegant hotels in Bucharest: the Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest and the Crowne Plaza Bucharest. Interna supplied turn key the millwork of the public areas, installing boiserie, bar counters, reception counters and service stations for the bars and restaurants of the two hotels. Furthermore, in both projects the designers included many items selected from the standard collections of Interna.

Interna doubles with the Cruise Liner Azura 6166
Interna has entered the cruise liner sector only last year with the implementation of an important supply for the Carnival Dream built by Fincantieri, but recently the furnishing company won a new tender and executed a new project: the implementation of the Cabaret Lounge, 750 square meters on the new cruise liner that was built at the Fincantieri shipyards, the Azura 6166.
The Project comprised the implementation of turn key works, a formula that includes the executive planning, the supply of floors, walls, ceilings and furnishing, and the assembling and the final testing.
Azura 6166 has a gross tonnage of 116,000 tons and a passenger capacity of 3.076. This contract consolidated Interna’s presence in the naval field that is fast developing and is tightly bound to the professionalism and high quality standards of the Fincantieri shipyards.

Interna, sbarcata solo lo scorso anno nel settore della navi da crociera con l’esecuzione di una importante fornitura per la nave Carnival Dream per conto di Fincantieri, ha ultimato recentemente un nuovo progetto: l’allestimento dell’area pubblica Cabaret Lounge relativamente a una nuova nave costruita nei Cantieri di Monfalcone, la Azura 6166.
Il contratto ha previsto l’esecuzione dei lavori chiavi in mano, formula che ha compreso progettazione esecutiva, fornitura di pavimenti, pareti, soffittature e naturalmente arredi, montaggio e collaudo finale
La Azura 6166 possiede una stazza di 116.000 tonnellate ed una capacità di trasporto di 3076 passeggeri. Con questo lavoro Interna ha inteso consolidare la sua presenza nel settore navale,un settore in grande sviluppo e molto legato alla professionalità e all’ alta qualità della Fincantieri.

Interna implements a prestigious Spa in Bordeaux
Les Bains de Cleopatre: this is the name of Spa and Wellness Centre at the historic The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux that have been whole performed by Interna following the design of French interior decorator Jacques Garcia.
In detail, Interna implemented the turn-key furnishing of a juge area( fifth and sixth floor plus the terrace) with a reception, a 120sq.m. pool, a SPA area with sauna, massage rooms and a number of relaxation areas, a two level coiffeur salon of the renowned maison “Alexander Zoauri”, a terrace with bar, lounge club and whirlpool bath.
The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux is the epitome of the splendour and charm of Bordeaux. Central, proudly discreet, but an exhibitionist at heart, display window of good taste, gastronomy, tradition, style, ambition and magnificence the historic hotel is the embodiment of the Aquitaine luxury.
The long lasting cooperation between Interna and Garcia, that in recent years has implemented many prestigious projects, has reached in this prominent and recently renovated building its highest design and quality levels.

New Showroom
After last November opening of the small show room in Russia, round the corner of the Red Square and the renowned Gum, Interna opens a new exhibiting space in The Netherlands.
A wide contemporary building of 3.000 square meter- located in the countryside between Amsterdam and Rotterdam, not far from the Schiphol airport-, head office of DK Home, producer of art and design works that chose Interna as partner for the furnishings.
Among precious artwork nearly the entire furnishing proposal of Interna is exhibited, in a set up exclusively conceived by the FG stijl studio of Colin Finnegan and Gerard Glintmeijer, to highlight the highly customizable sofas, armchairs, chairs, tables and case goods, created by world renowned designers, such as FG stijl, Uwe Fisher, Jacques Garcia, Alfredo Haeberli, Isao Hosoe, Franco Poli and Hannes Wettstein.

Interna furnishes the rooms of the historic hotel La Mamounia in Marrakech.
Moroccan splendour and Made in Italy quality
On the 29th of September the magnificent La Mamounia, historic Moroccan hotel, reopened its doors and astonished the world with is splendour also thanks to the work of Interna. The company, in fact, implemented a project with a value of 800.000 € in upholstered furnishings for 200 rooms and suites and for the corridors. The rooms present items belonging to the monographic catalogue of Interna Collection “Les Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia” and customized items again designed by the Parisian designer. Beige, vibrant red and green are the colours of the velvets and finishes selected by the French designer for the furnishings manufactured by Interna, elements that well integrate with the structure and atmospheres of the hotel with its elegant Arab–Andalusian style.

Le camere prestano arredi della collezione monografica di Interna Collection “Le Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcià” e arredi su misura disegnati sempre dal famoso designer parigino. Beige, rosso e verde intenso, sono i colori dei velluti e delle finiture scelti dal designer francese per gli arredi creati da Interna, che ben si integrano con la struttura e le atmosfere dell’hotel che presenta la lo stile arabo-andaluso nella sua forma più elegante.

Radisson SAS Hotel Dakar, Senegal
Interna has recently completed the prestigious turn-key project Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar, Senegal.
The furnishing project included all fixed and loose furniture for the public areas, the over 180 rooms, and the “back of the house”, i.e. all operational offices and meeting rooms, as well as all the necessary equipment for the hotel’s “life” (industrial kitchens, laundry, table wear, and so on). For this project Interna Contract produced all tailor-made pieces of furniture following the exclusive design of the South African interior design study Antoni Associates.
The Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar is the fifth hotel executed by the Interna Group to be managed by the hotel chain Radisson SAS, after the ones already completed in London Stansted, London city, Niece and Hannover, testifying Radisson’s confidence in the know-how of the Group.

La fornitura, del valore complessivo di oltre sette milioni di euro, ha compreso tutti gli arredi fissi e sciolti per le aree pubbliche, le oltre 180 camere e il “back of the house” ossia tutti gli uffici operativi e direzionali, nonchè tutta l’attrezzatura necessaria alla “vita” dell’hotel (cucine industriali, biancheria, stoviglie, ecc).

Il Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar è il quinto albergo che il Gruppo Interna realizza per essere gestito dalla catena alberghiera Radisson S.A.S. I precedenti Radisson sono a Londra Stansted, Londra città, Nizza e Hannover.

Interna Contract renovates the public areas of the hotel Hyatt Regency Mainz
The hotel regains all its charm with the accurate restyling done by the FG stijl studio of Amsterdam. Interna was called to supply the loose and fixed furniture of the public areas located on the three floors of the IX century fortress “Fort Malakoff”.
Interna implemented, in record time (less than 3 months), fixed benches custom-made for the existing niches, coffee tables and armchairs for the bar and café area, tables and chairs for the restaurant, stools and cocktail tables for the bar, ornamental room dividers and some backlit case-goods placed under the windows.

More than 6000 items, unique for quality and elegance, commissioned to Interna Udine.
Interna Contract, international leader in luxury furnishing for the hospitality and contract sector, from Tavagnacco, Udine, has been contracted by Emaar Hotels and Resorts LLC forpart of the furnishing of Armani Hotel Dubai and Armani Residences Dubai. The exclusive hotel and residences will be the first to open as part of the collection of Armani Hotels, Armani Resorts and Armani Residences planned in key cities across the globe.
The supply will include case goods, chairs, armchairs and beds, around 6000 unique and exclusive items which Interna will produce exclusively for this project. The hotel includes 160 rooms and suites whilst the Armani Residences offers 144 one and two bedroom luxury apartments, all personally designed by Giorgio Armani.
The Armani Hotel Dubai and the Armani Residences Dubai are located in Emaar’s iconic Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building. Dubai-based Emaar Properties is one of the world’s largest real estate developers with a footprint in over 36 markets.
Burj Dubai currently over 700 metres high with over 160 storeys, is still under construction and will be completed in 2009. The super-tall tower lies at the centre of Downtown Burj Dubai, a 500-acre project that is anticipated to be the most luxurious square-kilometre on earth once completed.

Interna enters the world of the fit out of cruise ships with Carnival Dream
Fincantieri ordered Interna the aft lounge, the jazz club and the piano bar of the largest cruise ship ever fitted out in the boatyards of Monfalcone.
Aft lounge, jazz club and piano bar of the luxury Carnival Dream are made in Interna. The cruise ship, up today the largest one built by the Fincantieri group in the boatyards in Monfalcone, will see the cooperation of Interna Contract for the fitting out of the millwork of three public areas, for a total surface of 1,050 square meters.
It is a significant project, that allows Interna to enter the world of the fit out of cruise ships. The three areas managed by Interna will have mosaic and marble floors, upholstered walls enriched with Venetian masks and the curvilinear ceilings will be illuminated by glass chandeliers. The electronically managed illumination is specially designed in order to create suggestive light games, thus contributing to the creation of an eclectic oeuvre d’art that will sensually involve passengers in a timeless dimension.

Interna Contract will be in charge of the renovation of the historic DANIELI HOTEL in Venice
The hotel will find again all its charm thanks to the careful renewal operated by the Parisian designer Jacques Garcia.
Interna Contract won the tender for the supply of the upholstery for the renewal project of the historic Venetian hotel. In less than a month, Interna supplied chairs, armchairs and sofas both for the public areas (restaurant and lobby) and for rooms and suites.
The majority of the furniture is part of the furnishings collection that the Parisian designer Jacques Garcia created for Interna in 2005. It is a collection with a commanding character and great attention to detail, produced in regard of high quality standards and able to evoke warm and voluptuous atmospheres while being elegant and comfortable. Part of the supply, on the other hand, has been specifically designed for the Danieli Hotel with the same oriental feeling that permeates since centuries the architecture and design of Venice. Black glossy lacquers, mahogany along with red velvets and Asiatic silks with flower patterns are the leitmotiv of the whole project.

In questi primi mesi del 2008 siamo stati coinvolti con molto piacere in importanti eventi che riguardavano diverse aree della cultura, da sempre convinti che questa sia uno strumento essenziale per garantire vitalità e buon vivere delle comunità.
Abbiamo privilegiato iniziative innovative, talune di carattere internazionale, altre di livello locale, tutte però a proseguimento della nostra riflessione su temi sociali ed economici. In alcuni casi abbiamo anche partecipato fattivamente ai contenuti.

Mostra Richard Nonas scultore (25 aprile 2008)
Interna contribuisce fattivamente a curare l’ esposizione permanente di 2 opere istallative dello scultore neyorkese Nonas presso il parco di villa di Toppo Florio di Buttrio.
La mostra, organizzata da “Spazio Pubblico Arte Contemporanea” in collaborazione con la 76° edizione della Fiera del Vino di Buttrio, la più importante rassegna enologica del nord est, è a detta dell’autore una “verifica filosofica” in quanto “gli elementi di disturbo da egli stesso disseminati nel parco” portano inevitabilmente a una riflessione severa sul vivere contemporaneo.
Far East Film Festival 10, edizione 2008 (18-26 aprile)
La maggiore rassegna di cinema popolare asiatico di tutto l’occidente, organizzata annualmente a Udine dal Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche.
La rassegna, di cui Interna è partner per il secondo anno consecutivo, fa parte del progetto promosso dal comune di Udine “Udine Porta a Oriente” che intende incoraggiare una riflessione a tutto tondo sul tema dei rapporti con l’est del mondo in una regione da sempre crocevia di culture.
Job Fair (10 maggio 2008)
Interna, che ha una grande passione per il teatro e per i giovani, ha curato l’allestimento del palcoscenico del teatro Giovanni da Udine in occasione dell’evento organizzato dalla Facoltà di Ingegneria di Udine allo scopo di mettere in contatto i neo-ingegneri con le grandi realtà imprenditoriali del territorio.
Al dibattito “imprenditorialità, istruzioni per l’uso”, al quale si sono iscritte oltre 800 persone, ha partecipato in qualità di relatore il Presidente di Interna Holding Diego Travan.

The collection features pieces from five world famous designers: Uwe Fischer, Alfredo Haeberli, Isao Hosoe, Franco Poli and Hannes Wettstein, who have used their considerable talents to create design solutions for this sector’s very special needs, above all the possibility to customize pieces in terms of sizes, materials and finishes.

Interna Contract furnishes the new concept hotel citizenM in Amsterdam
Interna Contract has just completed the interiors of the first citizenM hotel, in Amsterdam, near Schiphol Airport.It is conceived to offer accessible luxury accommodation to the “mobile citizens”: modern, independent travelers who appreciate contemporary design and user-friendly technology. The hotel, built with the “Industrial Flexible Demountable” system, consists of modular, container-like, rooms (2.8x12 m) inspired by the minimal and efficient yachts’ interiors or private jets’ cabins, and “equipped” with the best technologies and services. The new hotel chain has selected Interna for a turn-key contract, to concretize the design planned by the Dutch studio Concrete. The team of Interna has been deeply involved in each phase of the project, from concept to engineering, to the equipment of the rooms, while paying great attention to details, from materials to finishes. Interna also supplied furnishing innovative solutions like the square, wall to wall, bed, or the shower, with LEDs that can be set according to one’s preferences. Customization is in fact one of the main concepts of the project: the customer can book a specific solution for light, music, and wake-up call time. The hotel, furthermore, offers a wide choice of books, magazines, films, and a 24 hours restaurant.

Following the partnerships with Louis Vuitton and Cartier, Interna Contract has recently signed a new collaboration with one of the world leaders in luxury and fashion: Chanel. Interna Contract has been selected for the furnishing of the new temporary showrooms of the French Maison. The furnishings, including desks, armchairs, coffee tables, stools, mirrors, and lamps confirm Chanel’s taste for elegant, minimal design. And so do the chosen materials and finishes like leather, lacquers, interwoven fabrics and the colors selected, black and white.

“BMW Welt” furnished by Interna unveiled in Munich
BMW has finally unveiled the "BMW Welt", their new car delivery center, recreation and exhibition complex, located in Munich, Germany: the new architectural landmark of the city and one of the most complex and challenging projects for Interna so far. For this futuristic steel and glass building Interna Contract furnished bistrot, international restaurant with coffee bar, sushi bar, and service bar, balcony, vip restaurant club, and board room, following the exclusive design by FG Stijl Amsterdam. Some of the most striking furnishing solutions Interna made match the architecture of the building with an original mix of steel, glass and integrated lighting. Another leitmotiv of the project is the table “Toto” from the Contemporary line of by Interna Collection, designed by Hannes Wettstein.

New major furnishing project for the Interna Group: the Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar
The Interna Group has recently signed a new major international agreement for the furnishing on a turnkey basis of the five-star Radisson SAS Hotel, Dakar, in Senegal. The project will be executed following the exclusive design by interior designers Antoni Associates (Cape Town, South Africa) and will include all loose and fixed furnishings for the public areas, the over 180 rooms, the so-called “back of the house” - the hotel offices and meeting rooms-, as well as all the hotel equipment: industrial kitchens, laundry, and tablewear. Interna will also supply selected pieces by Interna Collection and office furniture by Logica.
[The project will have to be completed in just four months because it is going to be one of the seats of the 2008 International Conference on Islam.]

Ci siamo trasferiti in un modernissimo edificio industriale di 3 piani e 3.500 metri quadri che ospita non solo gli uffici del Gruppo ma anche la prima Show Room di Interna Collection e lo” Spazio Interna” dove organizzeremo eventi culturali aperti al pubblico. L’elegante e funzionale progetto d’arredo opera dello studio FG Stijl di Amsterdam è stato realizzato interamente da Interna. Inaugurazione prevista per fine ottobre.

For the second consecutive year Interna Collection sponsored of the event “Eticamente” (ethically)
which took place in Teglio Veneto, near Venice from the 1st to the 3rd
of June. The event, organised by the local community, is becoming a reference
cultural event at national level, and aims at promoting ethical ideas such
as fair trade, sustainability, and energy saving. Equal opportunities and
the role of women in contemporary society were the focus of this years’ edition,
for which Interna Collection provided all furniture for the conference
areas.

Interna participates as CSR “best practice” to an international Conference
organized in Florence within the major event on sustainability “Terra Futura”
Representatives from institutions (including Italian Ministries and the
EU Parliament), heads of Associations, and representatives from companies
were invited to participate as speakers to the conference on CSR which
took place in Florence on May 18 within the major event on sustainability “Terra
Futura”. They were asked to share their experience and knowledge
on the current global situation of corporate behaviours with regards to
the issues of ethics, labour rights, and sustainability. Interna, invited
as CSR “best practice”, briefly reported on the Group’s
commitment to CSR and the reasons which led to the decision to apply for
the SA:8000 certification, obtained in June 2006. Derna Del Stabile stressed
the importance of “setting a good example”, mentioning significant
cases in which the Group’s socially and ethically responsible behaviours
led clients and suppliers to a change or a re-thinking of their attitude
towards CSR.

Interna Collection is partner of the event “èStoria” third
edition of the International Festival of History – in Gorizia from 18 to
20 May
For the second consecutive year, Interna Collection participates to the
event “èStoria”, the International Festival of History,
which takes place from 10 to 18 May in Gorizia and dozens of lecturers,
historians, writers, journalists, artists, and simple witnesses of past
things, both from Italy and from abroad, to give their contributions in
a three-day event of debates and meetings on a specific historical theme:
This year’s focus will be on Revolutions. Interna Collection will
contribute, among other things, by setting up with significant pieces of
its furniture range all the podiums where meetings and presentations will
take place.

Interna Collection is sponsor of the 2007 edition of the event “Vicino/Lontano” and
of the “Terzani” literary prize – Udine, 10-13 May
For the second year in a row Interna Collection is sponsor of the initiative “Vicino/Lontano.
Identità e differenze al tempo dei conflitti” (Close/Far.
Identities and difference in times of conflicts) and the international
literary award “Premio Terzani” dedicated to the memory of
the great writer-journalist who died in 2004. The event gathers in Udine
internationally celebrated lecturers, writers and artists, to be part of
a three-day programme of public debates, exhibitions, and shows focussing
on important issues of our contemporary world. This year Interna Collection
will also contribute with the set-up of an art exhibition at the Visionario
Cinema in Udine titled Give Peace Another Chance – 33 Flags for
Peace based on an idea by Giorgio Camuffo. The exhibition will display 33 interpretations
of the rainbow peace flag made by famous graphics and illustrators for
a Venetian editorial initiative of October 2006, also sponsored by Interna.
Thus Interna wants to stress again and with force its commitment to the
spreading of a culture of Peace.

Interna Collection to exhibit @ the 2007 Las Vegas Hospitality Design Expo and
Conference (10-12 May)
From 10 to 12 May Interna Collection participates to the exhibition Hospitality
Design Expo and Conference, taking place in Las Vegas, USA, at the Sands
and Expo Convention Centre. Established in 1992, this is the US premier
trade show for hospitality design professionals, and also presents the
newest and most innovative product offerings. Interna Collection will introduce
its comprehensive offer for the hospitality sector for the first time in
the United States: all the three lines Traditional, Transitional and Contemporary,
the 2006 first designer monograph by Jacques Garcia, as well as the preview
of the new monograph by FG stjil from Amsterdam AngloDutch, just presented
for the first time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.

Interna Collection brings top designers Isao Hosoe and Colin Finnegan of FG stijl Amsterdam to be speakers of the second “Pecha Kucha” night in Udine
What is “Pecha Kucha”? The expression means “chit chat” in
Japanese, and, as hinted by the title, it is all about talking: at a Pecha
Kucha night young creative professionals such as architects, interior designers,
artists, graphics, video artists, fashion designers, editors, or just students
are invited to present one or more of their creative ideas or projects.
Originated in Japan from an idea of two famous architects, the Pecha-Kucha
nights have spread like a virus throughout the world, contaminating cities
such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Beijing, Mexico
City, and Bangkok before arriving to Italy via Udine.
Interna Collection
has given its enthusiastic support to this initiative and invited two of
its top designers, Isao Hosoe and Colin Finnegan of FG stijl, to be speakers
of the second Pecha Kucha night organized in Udine. In their presentations
both had to follow the rhythm imposed by the Pecha Kucha “20 x 20” format,
the one and only rule of the game: speakers can only present 20 slides,
having a maximum of 20 seconds to talk upon each one of them. Isao and
Colin were the stars of the evening providing important and original contributions
to a night dedicated to creativity and attended by hundreds. The event
took place during the Udine Far East Festival, another major cultural event
also sponsored by Interna Collection.

Interna Collection and Interna Contract are awarded by ICILA in recognition of
their excellence as attested by their integrated certification system (quality,
environment, ethics)
ICILA, the certification authority for the furniture industry in Italy,
awarded a certificate of excellence to Interna Collection and Interna Contract
in recognition of their respect and commitment for environment and ethics.
Derna del Stabile and Diego Travan of Interna received the Award during
a convention called “Il cammino verso l’eccellenza” (The
path towards excellence) organized by ICILA at the Salone Internazionale
del Mobile in Milan, where only eight more companies received this prestigious
acknowledgement. Interna Collection and Interna Contract are among the
first and still very rare companies in the furniture sector in Italy to
be able to boast an integrated certification system, which adds to the
Quality Certification IS:2001, the Environmental SA 14.0001 and Ethical
Certification SA:8000.

20-28 April 2007) - the largest showcase of popular Asian cinema
Interna Collection announces its support to the Far East Film Festival
9, the 2007 edition of the most important showcase of popular Asian cinema
taking place in western countries. Organized annually in Udine by the cultural
club Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche in co-operation with Cineteca
del Friuli, Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine and Centro per le Arti Visive/Visionario,

Interna Collection supports the Easter initiative of the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni
da Udine
On Easter Friday Interna Collection was part of the first official initiative
of the famous journalist Michele Mirabella as artistic director of the
theatre programme of the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da
Udine, by supplying some
significant pieces of its exclusive furniture range for the stage set-up.
The event called “Il Mattino del Terzo Giorno” (“The
morning of the third day”) gathered on stage prominent journalists,
actors, musicians, and figures from the religious and university worlds,
to reflect, with the involvement of the over 500 attendees, upon the religious
and worldly meaning of the Easter festivity.

Interna will participate to the 46th edition of the Salone Internazionale
del Mobile in Milano with an amazing Fuori Salone event, definitely

and, in general, for all design amateurs. Focus of the event will be the
presentation of a preview from the new Monographic Collection of Interna

Interna Collection goes ‘pink’ to sponsor the first edition of the
exhibition Fiera Rosa, totally dedicated to women’s culture and lifestyles
and to equal opportunities, Udine 2-4 March 2007
Since one of the pillars of Interna Collection philosophy is to assign
a key role to women, including several positions within the company’s
management, there was little option for the company not to participate
actively to the first edition of the Fiera Rosa, which will take place
in Udine(2-4 March) at Udine Fiera. This will be the first exhibition ever
organized in Italy totally dedicated to women, their culture and their
lifestyles and to a public debate on the state of the art on equal opportunities
in Italy. Just as women can be both frivolous and very serious, so the
event will have a more ‘worldly’ life in the exhibition area,
where all sorts of women’s merchandise and activities will be on
display, but there will also be large space for Public Administrations
to display their equal opportunities initiatives, as well as for debates
and conferences on social and cultural themes dear to women. Interna Collection
will supply the furniture for a comfy corner in the reception area and
for the speakers’ platforms in the conference rooms. Leitmotiv of
the event will be the colour pink, a symbol of the feminine and of positive
thinking, and Interna Collection will also have to fit in, by supplying
special editions of some carefully selected pieces of the Collection.

Interna Furnishes the Futuristic Bmw World in Munich
Interna will have the leading role in furnishing the futuristic BMW World
(www.bmw-welt.com), an extraordinary building which is the result of a
futuristic architectural project by the prestigious Viennese firm Coop
Himmelb(l)au, and which has a distinctive wave-like roof structure in glass
and steel covering an area of 14 thousand square metres. Interna has won,
in an international competition, the contract for the turnkey supply of
all furnishings for the four main areas of the building: bistro, international
restaurant, coffee bar and business club. Some of the more experienced
competitors were put off entering the competition by the difficulty of
the project. Interna beat rival companies, including German ones, not so
much because of its competitive bid but due to its excellent credentials
(Interna Contract has carried out similar projects in Germany for Daimler
Chrysler, Volkswagen and Siemens), the high quality of its products and
its own technical and managerial expertise. The interior design is by the
well-known Anglo-Dutch company FG Stijl, winners of several international
design awards – including the ‘Best New Design Hotel’ for
The College Hotel in Amsterdam, also made by Interna.

Interna Group partners GHM Hotels in the making of their first hotel ever
in Europe: The Chedi, Milan
Interna Group was selected by the prestigious international hotel chain GHM
(General Hotel Management Ltd.) for the making of the interiors of their first
hotel in Europe: The Chedi, Milan, located in Italy’s capital of finance
and fashion. Interna Contract, Interna Collection and Logica joined forces
to produce all the furnishings and décor for the common areas, the 250
rooms as well as the hotel offices, a job which has taken one year to be completed.
The interior design, by the famous Indonesian designer Jaya Pratomo Ibrahim
of Jaya & Associates, combines an Asian style concept, characterized by
smooth colours and precious yet primitive materials such as wood, bronze, stone,
mosaic and textured ceramic, with cutting-edge Western technology. Established
in 1992, GHM develops and operates an exclusive group of 5-star hotels and
resorts around the world. Distinguishing factors of GHM are the group’s
vision to create a lifestyle experience unique in its intimacy, style, and
comfort, where service excellence is unrivalled.
Within the group, the brand “The
Chedi” operates a series of elegant resorts and business hotels, so far
all located in Asia. But with The Chedi Milan, the Group challenges the European

Interna booms in France and achieves 3 major operations in Paris, as well as
the brand new one-of-a-kind Hotel Cheval Blanc in Courchevel
A few months after its launch at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in
Milan Fiera del Mobile 2006, Interna already records a number of major
successes, having been selected for the most exclusive luxury hotels recently
opened in France. For the Westin Hotel in Paris, located
just nearby famous Place Vendôme, Interna was chosen for the complete
refurbishing of the former "Restaurant 234 Rivoli" now called "The
First".
At the Fouquet's Palace Hotel on the Champs-Elysées
in Paris, whose opening was now really longed for, Interna produced most
of the seating and tables for the public areas. Same for the marvellous L'Hotel
located in rue des Beaux Arts ( where Oscar Wilde as well as many other
American movie stars used to stay when in Paris). For these three amazing
and super-stylish projects the pieces were selected from the Collection "Les
Grands Classiques de Jacques Garcia", launched in 2006, and deriving
from a strong partnership with worldwide renown interior design icon Jacques
Garcia from Paris. Also by December 2006, several Interna Collection Transitional
and Contemporary items were selected and supplied for the furnishing of
restaurant, bar, and luxury suites of the first top luxury hotel opened
in Courchevel (French Alps) by LVMH owner Mr Bernard Arnault: Hotel
Cheval Blanc.

Interna Collection at the 71st edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, 10-13 January,
Florence
Some significant pieces Interna Collection have been chosen by Canali,
the fine Italian menswear brand, for display at their stand at the 71st
edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, taking place from 10 to 13 January in Florence.
Pitti Immagine Uomo, the international reference event for prêt-a-porter
menswear fashion since 1972, will focus for this edition on “conscious
elegance”. And consciously elegant are the pieces from the Interna
Collection Transitional and Contemporary lines which will complement the
furnishing of the gorgeous stand where the Canali will display their latest
collection. Interna Collection with its style and total flexibility is
a perfect match with Canali’s tradition for tailored clothing and
both brands are perfect ambassadors of Made in Italy. More pieces from
the Interna Collection were also selected by Canali for a fashion photo
shooting last December.

Interna Group supports the initiative “Give Peace another Chance”
On the occasion of the 6th Peace Publishing fair in Venice - a three-day
event which took place in early October 2006, promoted by the Venice Foundation
for the Reasearch on Peace (Fondazione per la Ricerca sulla Pace) - an
exhibition called Give Peace another Chance was organized: 33 reinterpretations
of the peace flag by Italian artists and graphic designers that were hung
up on some Venetian buildings and also collected in a booklet of the same
name that also includes texts on the theme of flags and their historical
and sociological implications. The involvement in this initiative was for
Interna a special occasion to re-think about Peace, an issue which is so
dear to the Group: Interna has always believed that making business in
an ethical way is possible, thus contributing to the well-being of the
community we live in and to a more peaceful world. Interna will circulate
the booklet among its friends at Christmas time, with the best wishes for
a Peaceful and Successful 2007.

Premio Ernest Hemingway. Prizegiving will take place on September 2nd in Lignano, Italy
Interna Collection will be a sponsor of the 22nd edition of the literary award “Premio Hemingway”,
which traditionally takes place every year in Lignano Sabbiadoro. At this prestigious literary event,
Interna Collection will supply all the furniture for the Kursaal theatre where the prizegiving ceremony
will take place on September 2nd. Moreover, Interna will supply the furniture for the round table on war
reporters which will take place just a few days before the event, on August the 30th.

The Interna Group adds to its existing offer a new brand specialising in the production of office furniture: LOGICA
Thanks to a recent agreement with the Effezeta Group (production of chairs), the Interna Group has acquired
a new production line by acquiring the brand LOGICA, already known on the market for the production and sale
of office furniture. With this operation the Group is now able to provide a really comprehensive offer in
the contract sector, as office furniture is very often needed in the furnishing of hotels, luxury stores
or cruising ships.
For this reason the Interna Group decided to acquire the brand LOGICA and all the know-how
it has got in the office sector. The Group will invest largely in the restructuring of the brand, looking to
an increase in turnover by 20-30% in the following years.

Interna Contract obtains the SA 8000
Certification for its “Ethical Work”
Interna Contract has obtained the SA 8000 Certification, an international certification
standard that encourages organisations to develop, maintain and apply socially
acceptable practices in the workplace. The certification follows the audit
made by CISE, one of the eight associations worldwide accredited by SAI (Social
Accountability International) to provide SA 8000 certifications. The areas
this certification addresses include forced and child labour, health and safety,
freedom of association and collective bargaining, discrimination, disciplinary
practices, working hours, compensation and management systems, as well as a
company’s contribution to the promotion of human rights for all workers
throughout the whole supply, production and distribution chain.
The certification
comes as a recognition of the Group’s commitment and its way of operating
in the total respect and attention to the themes related to social responsibility.
Only 50 companies in Italy and 290 in the world have so far obtained this important
certification. “The way we work” – claims Derna Del Stabile,
Director of Interna Contract– “is a way of showing how globalisation
processes can happen in the total respect of human rights, of international
norms on labour and environmental issues.”

Interna Collection was a sponsor of the: Premio Terzani 2006 which took
place in Udine, Italy, within the second edition of the four-day happening
organised by the Vicino Lontano cultural association (www.vicinolontano.it),
called “Vicino Lontano, Identità e differenze ai tempi dei conflitti”.
In particular, Interna supported the meeting with Emergency, which took place at Palazzo Caiselli, on Saturday May 13th,
during which Teresa Sarti Strada, in an interview with journalist Valerio Pellizzari, spoke about the humanitarian
activities carried out by Emergency. Moreover, all the meeting areas at Palazzo Caiselli during the event were
furnished exclusively with pieces by Interna Collection.
The company decided to support this cultural event in order to stress its commitment on important themes for

Milan, Park Hyatt Hotel: Interna Collection presents a preview of its range during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile
The presentation took place in Milan as an event “Fuori Salone” and was hosted by the Park Hyatt Milan -
another prestigious project among the most recent ones executed by Interna Contract. For four days Hotel Operators,
journalists and connoisseurs were given the chance to see on display in the wonderful meeting rooms of the Park
Hyatt some of the most representative prototypes among the more than 200 design concepts which are going to be
part of the Interna Collection.
At the opening evening on April 14th the five top designers who contributed to the creation of Interna Collection,
Uwe Fischer, Alfredo Häberli, Isao Hosoe, Franco Poli e Hannes Wettstein
delivered their speeches to the enthusiastic public who had gathered to celebrate the beginning of this new
adventure of the Interna Group.

The College Hotel in Amsterdam by Interna wins the Best New Design Hotel Award
The College Hotel in Amsterdam, one of the latest projects completed by
Interna Contract, won on April 5, 2005 the award ‘Best New Design
Hotel’ in The Netherlands. For the College Hotel Interna Contract
supplied all loose and fixed furnishings for both common spaces (bar, reception,
restaurant, lounge, lobby and bathrooms) and for all the 40 luxury rooms
of the hotel, all different from one another. The award-winning Interior
Design studio is FG Stijl from Amsterdam, led by Designers Gerard Glintmeijer
e P.Collin Finnegan. The Hotel Chain managing the marvellous hotel, originally
a school building dated 1894, and located in the residential Amsterdam
Oud Zuid area (South/center), is the Stain Group.

Interna presents Interna Collection, A Project for Projects
On Friday, 8th of April 2005 at Villa Feltrinelli, one of the most outstanding
projects executed by INTERNA CONTRACT, INTERNA introduced to a selected
group of journalists Interna Collection, a Project for Projects. The presentation
will continue during Salone Internazionale del Mobile – Edition 2005
- in Milan. This more official presentation, as an event “fuori
salone” will take place at the Park Hyatt Milan an other prestigious
most recent project realized by INTERNA CONTRACT and will be open to a
public of Hotel Operators and to the Press from 14th up to 17th of April
- from 10 am to 9.00 pm.
The newly born INTERNA COLLECTION is an innovative
furnishing concept created by the marriage of passion and know-how built
up by INTERNA over 15 years’ activity of turn-key furnishing and
design solutions for the luxury contract and hospitality sector. With more
than 200 design concepts of Interna Collection, INTERNA intends to give
a support to architects and interior designers with an innovative tool
that respond to the very peculiar demands of the market.
In order to respect
the logic of the Contract Industry, INTERNA COLLECTION has its point of
strength in its total flexibility: each of these design concepts can be
customised and rendered unique by accessing a wide range of different sizes,
materials and finishes. Interna Collection’s enormous range of products
and designs is divided into three different lines: Traditional, inspired
by the 19th and earlier 20th Centuries; Transitional, the classical seen
through modern eyes; and Contemporary, which harnesses the creative talents
of five top contemporary designers (Uwe Fischer, Alfredo Häberli,
Isao Hosoe, Franco Poli e Hannes Wettstein).
Alongside these three lines,
it is INTERNA decision to prepare and print out, at regular intervals, ‘Designer
Monograph’ series, which will represent the work of someone in the
forefront of interior design for hotels and contract. The first of these ‘Monographs’ will

Park Hyatt Milan
The Park Hyatt in Milan was our twenty-fifth Hyatt contract, it is quintessentially
Milanese, and is at one with its immediate surroundings: the vibrant
Piazza Duomo; Milanís great travertine-marbled cathedral; the
world-famous Scala Opera House; and the belle Èpoque splendour
of the Galleria, Milanís prestigious glass-domed shopping arcade.
The Hyatt, here, has absorbed the sensations, the sounds and, indeed,
the colours of Milan and its people. We provided the fixed and freestanding
furniture and furnishings for the public areas, the guest rooms, the
presidential suite, the diplomatic suite, the meeting rooms, the lobby,
the bar, restaurant and library. In the photograph, you can see the spectacular
hotel lobby lounge, La Cupula. It sets the scene with travertine, the
leitmotif for the hotel itself. The marble dances in perfect harmony
with the imperial yellow and aubergine silks that cover the walnut-backed
banquettes; and partners too with the gold and brown velvet armchairs
adorning the metallic, walnut and glass coffee tables. Luxury, here,
is never flamboyant. It has a refined and restrained elegance and charm,
instilling peace and serenity.

Interna Contract at the heart of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens
Interna has been deeply involved in the preparation of Athens to the Olympic
Games, cooperating at no less than four extremely prestigious hospitality projects:
the Hotel Hilton Athens, the Hotel Nafsica,
the Hotel Arion and the mega-yacht
Turama. The Hotel Hilton Athens is the official hotel for the Internation
Olympic Committee, and is located in the heart of the city next to the Acropolis
and the National Gallery of Art. For this amazing hotel Interna made, following
the project by US architects Bilkey-Llinas, exclusive tailor-made furnishings
and millworks in beech wood for all the impressive public areas, lobby, the
numerous bars and restaurants, the conference and banquet halls, the exhibition
area and to the swimming pool integrated in the spa. The Hotel Nafsica and
Arion are two trendy 5-star hotels, located in the Vouliagmeni bay, along the
city’s most exclusive beaches. For these two projects Interna did all
the furnishing on a turnkey basis with record speed: only four months from
production to installation of the entire supply, exclusively made following
the design of the studio HBA from London. Last, but not least, Interna supplied
all loose and fixed furniture for a 115-metre yacht, the Turama, the mega-yacht
used as hospitality for Presidents, Heads of Government, Monarchs, and international
vip’s. For its security standards and acoustic isolation devices, for
the extremely high quality of its set-up, and for the overall beauty of the
interiors, it can be considered a unique jewel, a perfect token of the know-how
and the painstaking technological research of Interna

The Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli Opens its Doors to the Public after Intense
Restoration Works
The exclusive Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli, located in Gargnano at Garda
Lake (Italy), has opened its doors to the public, after an impressive
renovation work, in which Interna executed the entire supply of millwork
and loose furniture, including draperies, carpets, lamps, and accessories.
For its extreme complexity and for the number of custom made items, the
project has represented for Interna’s team a real challenge: Interna
supplied more than 2000 different items, all one-off and exclusively
tailor made for this project. Among these Interna handled a number of
rare antique pieces that needed a meticulous restoration process. The
design has been developed by the famous american interior design studio
Babey Moulton Jue & Booth from San Francisco, with whom Interna’s
technicians have closely collaborated for the entire project execution.
This job kept all our staff fully engaged for 12 months.

Strategic Alliance signed with the Intercontinental Hotels Group
Interna Contract has recently signed an agreement with the worldwide
biggest Hotel Group Intercontinental Hotels Group
Plc (www.ichotelsgroup.com)
whereby Interna is to become its official furniture supplier. Interna
is the first and only Italian Company in the furniture sector to reach
and sign such an agreement with this important Hotel Group. This goal
has been reached after several years of close and painstaking cooperation
with the five brands of the Group which numbers something like 3,300
hotels distributed in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Interna Contract furnishes the magnificent new Grand Hotel in Paris and Café de
la Paix
After an 18-month-closure due to an entire conservative restoration work,
the Grand Hotel in Paris, part of the prestigious Hotel Chain Intercontinental,
has reopened its doors to the public. Located in a magnificent old building,
just next to the Opera House Garnier, the hotel is a spectacular token
of the European luxury from the late 19th Century. For this project, Interna
Contract has completed special custom-made, loose furniture for more than
400 rooms and suites as well as for all public areas, following the design
of renowned French interior designer Pierre Ives Rochon. All the furniture
is in French Empire style, matching the originals made in 1862, and are
made in mahogany veneer with decorative inlays or lacquered details enriched
with a golden leaf coat and bronze decorations. Some are enriched with
very precious marble tops, leathers and valuable mosaics: every single
detail has received the uttermost attention from Interna. The restoration
work also included the whole fit out of the worldwide renowned Cafè de
la Paix. Although part the Grand Hotel, it is also considered an independent
entity and one of the most representative Cafés of the 19th century,
meeting point for the bets cultural and social life in Paris. It is designed
by Mr. Garnier, the same architect of the Opera House, of which the Cafè de
la Paix matches stylistic features.

Interna Contract obtains the Quality Certification ISO 9001:2000
Following an Internal Audit of its Quality Management System, Interna Contract
achieved accreditation to the requirements of the Quality Certification
ISO 9001:2000. ISO 9001:2000 is a quality management system which identifies
and monitors the processes a company adheres to. This management system
has been put in place to monitor, measure and analyse the processes used,
and ensure companies implement the actions required to achieve planned
results and the continuous improvement of processes. The Certification
recognises that Interna Contract has got systems in place to provide the
highest levels of customer service and satisfaction. Internal audits every
three months and regulatory audits every six months will ensure that Interna
continues to maintain and improve its standards, to the benefit of customers,
suppliers and employees and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of
the Company.
At the opening evening on April 14th the five top designers who contributed to the creation of Interna Collection,
Uwe Fischer, Alfredo Häberli, Isao Hosoe, Franco Poli e Hannes Wettstein
delivered their speeches to the enthusiastic public who had gathered to celebrate the beginning of this new
adventure of the Interna Group.

Interna Contract at the Exhibition Marocotel in Casablanca
Interna Contract took part to the Exhibition Marocotel, the International
Exhibition of Hotel Trade and related Equipment which took place in Casablanca,
from 2 to 5 May. On the occasion, Interna Contract displayed one of its
most recent projects: an hotel room execute for the prestigious Royal
Anfa Dorint Hotel in Casablanca, owned by the renowned Moroccan family Berr
Anass. The room furnishing, exclusively made following a design by the
Dutch architect Christine Roffiaen, has got very elegant lines, classical
but innovative at the same time. Interna Contract stand was visited by
a large number of professionals in the hotel industry and was truly appreciated
especially for the high quality of the furniture on display.

Interna Contract to furnish the Corinthia Tripoli Hotel
Interna Contract has recently signed a new important agreement with the
Hotel Chain Corinthia Hotels International for the supply of all furniture
- loose and fixed - for all public areas at the Corinthia Tripoli Hotel,
located in the historical centre of the libyan capital, next to the newly
discovered archaeological site. The Hotel Chain Corinthian Hotels International
now adds up to the already rich reference list of highly prestigious international
clients of Interna Contract.
